Bayan Learning Community!

The Bayan Learning Community has been a great pathway to my learning success, being linked; PD - 100 and ENGL - 114, im enjoying my experience in those classes. New people, new friends, a start of a new life.

Especially when this is my first year in college, these courses are helping me improve in being a better student and becoming more responsible. I was luckily introduced and registered in this class by Professor Abuan, if I were not to be enrolled in this class, my learning experience would of been a difficult time.

College is a good source for stress, but with the accompany and help of this community, I can overcome this challenge. This is my first time being in a learning community, and the experiences i'm having here is great. My intended audience would be my Bayan Scholar's or anyone who is interested in joining this learning community.

 I do not regret joining this community because I wouldnt of met all these great people, outstanding professors, and meeting individuals who are just like me. This is a community in where I would recommend new students or returning students.

In order to be succesful in this courses is, you cant procastinate nor be lazy. Doing all work on time will set you on a succesful future. So far, I have found no problems in these courses, maybe alot of work but its all beneficial.

I love this community, maybe cause it feels like we're all family or maybe the fact that i'm not alone.

Meeting New People

Meeting new people can be a bitch, just the thought of judgement, ethnicity, and appearance are the major factors of first impression.

First day of school was like a big step towards adulthood, expecting nothing given to you, knowing you have to earn it. I realized that college is an easier place to make friends, the learning environment, and especially with this Bayan Learning Community, you will not be a stranger. My intended audience is towards Bayan Scholars(Peers) or anyone who caught interest on my topic.

 My reactions and feelings while meeting new people is hardly describable in words; meaning actions speaks louder than words. Since im an Introvert; I try my best to make more friends but the other side, i'm really shy and wouldnt know how to start off a good conversation; and this could relate to many people, im not alone. These two courses has really helped break out my shell, and made me interact with my peers.

 I honestly thought I wouldnt make as much friends on my first semester; but I proved my self wrong. The thought of meeting new people can affect individuals, making them confident or nervous when the time comes. I was nervous, due to the fact that whatever I say or do; they will judge.

Im not assuming everyone judges, I just believe that first impression is always the key factor in establishing a new friendship.
